About

Lizzy Potter is a Suzuki trained violinist and teacher based in Yakima, WA. Originally from Puyallup, she earned a Bachelor’s in violin performance, graduating summa cum laude, from Central Washington University, and has been teaching in Yakima ever since. She loves teaching students of all ages to love music and play with excellence.

When Lizzy is not teaching violin, she plays in the first violin section of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra. She frequently collaborates with other local ensembles, including Canticus Vocal Ensemble and high school choirs. In her downtime, Lizzy can be found reading great fiction and memoirs, playing games with family and friends, and enjoying time with her husband at home or outdoors.
